Job Description
As a Heating Engineer with ATF Fuels, you will carry out installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of oil-fired heating systems and associated equipment in domestic and light commercial settings. This role requires a practical problem solver with a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and technical precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission new oil-fired heating systems, including boilers, tanks and controls
- Diagnose and repair faults on existing systems efficiently and safely
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to high standards
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records using our job management system
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded
- Adhere to all company policies and industry regulations relating to health, safety, and compliance
- Maintain van stock levels, tools and PPE to ensure readiness and professionalism
- Participate in occasional out-of-hours or emergency call-outs (if applicable)
Person Specification
Essential
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
Full driving licence
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious
Desirable
Proven experience in a mechanical, plumbing or electrical trade
OFTEC registration
Experience working on oil-fired heating systems
Awareness of building regulations and compliance
