ATF Fuels, a leading fuel provider in the Channel Islands is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at supporting the local community following the recent destructive impact of Storm Ciarán. In response to the widespread damage, ATF Fuels is acting on this by giving back to the community that has been affected.
Jonathan Best, Director of ATF Fuels, expressed the company’s commitment to the local community, stating “In the aftermath of Storm Ciarán, we recognise the importance of coming together to support one another, and we believe we have a responsibility to contribute to the island-wide recovery efforts.”
As part of its ESG standards, ATF Fuels will donate a portion of the proceeds from every litre of fuel sold at its forecourts and premium domestic heating oil customers to Jersey Trees for Life.
The funds will specifically go towards the charity’s 2024 Hedgerow Campaign, which plays a vital role in supporting Jersey’s decarbonisation plans, enhancing and restoring biodiversity, addressing climate change, and contributing to local environmental protection and enhancement efforts.
Jersey Trees for Life has a proven track record of promoting sustainable practices and fostering a greener, healthier community. By partnering the charity for the 2024 Hedgerow Campaign, ATF Fuels aims to make a meaningful impact on the environment and contribute to the overall well-being of the local community.
We believe that, by supporting Jersey Trees for Life, we are not only aiding in the recovery from Storm Ciarán but also taking a step towards a more sustainable and resilient future for our community.
We are incredibly grateful that ATF Fuels is supporting next winter’s Hedgerow Campaign during which we plan to plant another 10,000 trees across the island. Naturally we also welcome the shift from an overseas carbon offsetting programme to a local tree planting initiative that customers will be able to see and from which they will directly benefit.
ATF Fuels encourages the local community to join them in this initiative by choosing ATF Fuels for their fuel needs, knowing that with every litre purchased, they are contributing to the restoration and enhancement of the local environment.
The current ATF carbon offsetting campaign will cease at the end of the year and be replaced by this local initiative.
